Job Title: Telecoms Engineer

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 (+ Overtime)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various network and IT cabling installations in diverse environments, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, telephony, and fibre optics.
• Meet tight deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed to the satisfaction of both the company and clients.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and statutory Health and Safety Legislation.
• Lead multi-personnel installations when required.
• Prepare and understand site-specific Risk Assessments.
• Complete all project-related engineer documentation.
• Serve as the primary contact and liaison with customers during installations.
• Supervise and monitor the performance of Engineers and Junior Engineers.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance for Engineers and Junior Engineers.
• Carry out minor electrical installations, depending on qualifications.
• Conduct site survey visits as needed.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• 1-5 years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of network cabling and installations.
• Ability to work under pressure within tight timescales both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable communicator, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to go the extra mile for colleagues and customers.
• Flexibility in working hours and travel requirements.
• CSCS accreditation (or equivalent).
• Full and valid UK driving licence.
• Attention to detail with a solid understanding of expected quality standards (World Class).
• Positive attitude and leadership by example.
• Proficiency in attending customer meetings and representing the business professionally.
• Expertise in installing industrial containment systems.
• Experience managing large project installations, delegating tasks to multiple teams including subcontractors, and tracking and reporting project progression.
