Our client is currently seeking a Principal Transport Planner to join their Sustainable Development and Delivery (SDD) Team. Based in either Bristol, Sheffield, or Nottingham, this permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to support a range of transport planning, traffic engineering, and infrastructure design services across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Site Access Appraisals, and Travel Plans
- Designing highways and junctions using various design principles
- Utilising ARCADY, PICADY, TRICS, Tempro, and AutoCAD for transport planning and analysis tasks
- Producing detailed technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders
- Contributing to and supporting the growth of the SDD team and breadth of services offered
- Engaging with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to achieve project objectives
- Delivering innovative transport planning solutions to support development projects
- Maintaining a high standard of work and adhering to industry regulations
Job Requirements:
- Experience in transport planning and development planning within the UK
- Proficient in ARCADY, PICADY, TRICS, Tempro, and AutoCAD
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Understanding of highway and junction design principles
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
- 'Can-do' attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Enthusiasm and team spirit to support service expansion
- Relevant qualifications in transport planning or a related discipline
