Automotive Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are operating at their best. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and installations.
• Assemble components according to schematics and specifications.
• Conduct equipment repairs and maintain workshop tools in good working order.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
• Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair.
• Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for various automotive systems.
• Experience in equipment repair and maintenance is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills to enhance customer interactions.
