The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic HGV Technician to join a busy workshop team in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading main dealer with a great reputation, using the latest diagnostic equipment and working on a varied range of heavy goods vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of HGV's.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform complex repairs, including engine, transmission, brake, and suspension work.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician in a similar environment.
  • Formal qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Repair (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of HGV mechanics and electrics.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and maintain high levels of quality.
  • A full UK driving license (HGV license preferred, but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
