A college in Nottingham in collaboration with Reed Further Education, is seeking a dedicated Travel and Tourism Lecturer to deliver engaging and informative lectures for Level 1 to Level 3 courses. This role offers a part-time schedule spread across four days of the week, ideal for professionals seeking to impact the next generation of tourism and aviation specialists.
Job Title: Travel and Tourism Lecturer
Position: Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri – 21 hours
Role type: Temporary Ongoing
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £30p/h to £35p/h including holiday pay
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver lectures and coursework to students enrolled in Level 1 to Level 3 Travel and Tourism courses.
- Prepare educational material and course outlines that meet curriculum requirements.
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain a dynamic and interactive classroom environment to facilitate active learning and enthusiasm among students.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to improve course content and teaching methods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in delivering Travel and Tourism courses at various levels.
- Strong understanding of the current trends and practices within the tourism and aviation industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and faculty.
- Ability to plan, organise, and manage time effectively to cover all necessary course materials within the term.
