Travel and Tourism Lecturer

We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis to teach Level 3 Travel and Tourism and Level 2 Aviation to Year 1 and Year 2 students at a vibrant college in Nottingham. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.

Part-time (Temporary) until December 18th, with the possibility of extension.Location: NottinghamHours: 11 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday)

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons to Year 1 and Year 2 students in Level 3 Travel and Tourism and Level 2 Aviation.
  • Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance teaching methods and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and grades.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in teaching Travel and Tourism and/or Aviation at a similar level.
  • Strong understanding of the curriculum and requirements for Level 3 Travel and Tourism and Level 2 Aviation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Relevant academic qualifications in Travel, Tourism, Aviation, or a related field.
