Key Responsibilities:
This role involves refurbishing and maintaining gas cylinders, ensuring they meet safety standards and are ready for use.
• Carrying out planned maintenance checks
• Find and fix faults
• Reset instrument controls
• Conducting tests to ensure cylinders meet safety standards.
• Following health and safety protocols at all times.
• Engaging in physical and repetitive lifting tasks.
• Installation of new equipment
• Able to work in a team but also on your own
Requirements:
• Good timekeeping and reliability are essential!
• Physical fitness to handle repetitive lifting of steel cylinders.
• Hands on support of someone who has already worked as a maintenance fitter
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good ability to problem solve, think on their feet and be able to follow and give clear instruction whilst working
Advantage Skills – not necessarily a must:
• Welding and use of cutting equipment
• Forklift license
