We are currently recruiting for a Technical Author to join a growing, engineering SME. The main focus as Technical Author is to produce and maintain User Guides (and other documents as requested) that complement products. This includes all appropriate safety information, equipment specification, theory, experiments and sample data. As Technical Author, it is also important to ensure documentation is consistent and up to date across User Guides, Data Sheets, Catalogues and Specifications, working in conjunction with Sales and Marketing.

Salary & Hours: c£30,000 as a guide. Days based role 7:00am to 3:30pm Mon Thurs, and a 7:00am 12:00pm finish on a Friday.

This Technical Author job will suit:

The Technical Author job will involve:

  • Creation of attractive, engaging and informative User and Safety Guides to a common standard
  • Creation and maintenance of diagrams to complement the Guides using Adobe Illustrator and SolidWorks viewer.
  • Photographing products and working with the graphic designer and Photoshop editing them as necessary.
  • Supporting the production of marketing materials in conjunction with the Marketing team

This job is commutable from Nottingham, Beeston, Long Eaton.
