Are you detail-oriented with a passion for safeguarding company finances and streamlining processes? Our client, a leading name in their industry, is looking for a Treasury Assistant to join their Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial operations and collaborating across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of preparing and authorising various payment types, including BACS, CHAPS, SEPA, ACH, and Faster Payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, maintaining meticulous records to safeguard company finances.
  • Oversee company credit cards and manage petty cash in both sterling and foreign currencies, ensuring efficient handling of transactions.
  • Maintain financial integrity by importing statements into finance systems and reconciling accounts accurately.
  • Assist with cashflow management, providing key forecasting and actualising reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Play an active role in the month-end close process, including detailed reconciliations and financial reviews.
  • Offer support to colleagues by covering team responsibilities when needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Drive process improvements by reviewing and refining existing procedures, contributing to operational excellence.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial data and calculations for external audits.
  • Post cashbook entries and ad hoc journal adjustments as required, ensuring precision in all accounting activities.
What We’re Looking For
  • Ideally AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Solid experience within a busy finance department.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in using ERP or equivalent systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Calm and effective decision-making under pressure.
