This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and inspiring individual who is keen to support students in achieving their academic goals through the Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide guidance and support to students undertaking HPQ and EPQ, helping them to raise their aspirations and successfully progress to level 3 study at the college.
  • Work closely with students to develop their project management skills, research capabilities, and critical thinking.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support where necessary.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development and achievement.
  • Participate in the development of resources and strategies to enhance the learning experience and outcomes for students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience or knowledge in assisting students with project-based qualifications such as HPQ or through a pastoral role.
  • A teaching qualification or teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a coaching or pastoral role is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of academic achievement and progression pathways.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
