About the Role:
Are you a driven Finance Manager with a passion for manufacturing and operational finance? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded manufacturing company based in Nuneaton, recognised for their commitment to quality, innovation, and growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Finance Manager to take the lead on the finance function, reporting directly to the Head of Finance and overseeing key financial responsibilities that will support strategic goals and improve business performance.
This role requires someone to be on-site days a week.
The Role and Key Responsibilities:
As the Finance Manager, you will play a central role in managing all aspects of the finance function, from financial reporting to strategic analysis. In this hands-on position, you'll guide a small finance team and work closely with senior leaders to drive financial planning, budgeting, and cost-control measures across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accurate, compliant reporting.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Own the budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering meaningful insights that support financial decisions.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for efficiency.
Cost Control & Process Improvement: Develop cost-control initiatives, streamline financial processes, and implement efficiencies across finance functions.
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior management to provide actionable financial insights, supporting cross-functional projects and decision-making.
Audit & Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance and manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors as needed.
About You:
We're looking for an experienced finance professional who can bring a blend of technical expertise and strategic insight to the team. Ideal candidates will have:
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (will consider finalist/QBE) with a strong grounding in financial management.
Proven experience in a similar finance management role, ideally in manufacturing or a production-related environment.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; ERP systems experience is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Leadership capabilities to manage and develop a team effectively.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
