We are looking for a Finance Operations Manager that is passionate about managing people, improving processes, ways of working and who embraces a continuous improvement culture. You will lead the operational activities for transactional treasury, billing and the team responsible for reconciling sales to cash. The Operations Manager will ensure that change is managed and delivered across the department. You will help to instil guidelines to ensure control and compliance with group policies. You will lead on ensuring that continuous improvements are made to our control environment through leading the month end reconciliation and risk control process. You will work closely with the Head of Financial Operations in building a best-in-class service to our stakeholders and the business while always having an eye on maximising cash flow.

The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Help to set and monitor teams monthly KPI's to enhance productivity
- Encourage, record and report on the continuous improvement backlog for the department
- Support on delivering a robust Cash flow forecast, updating with daily actuals and reporting to key stakeholders
- Accountable for overall team Balance sheet control ensuring RCAM's are embedded, improved on and reported on.
- Monthly Risk and Control sign off
- Support the Financial Reporting and control team
- Lead and deliver on wide range of change programmes across the department
- Annual PSA return submission
- Oversee the end-to-end processes ensuring transactions are recorded in line with company policies and procedures
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Implement and maintain best practices for efficient and effective accounts receivable operations
- Involvement in ad-hoc projects in relation to Finance-wide projects such as Finance Transformation (including system improvements within Unit 4) and Payroll system and process enhancements
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations and senior management, to enhance transactional finance processes and align with business objectives.
Location:
This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to our London Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office.
The Person
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant, ACA or ACCA
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting
- Strong understanding of banking and payment processes including treasury pooling/deposits and FOREX
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate financial data to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Good organisation skills with the ability to easily prioritise
- The ability to support process improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, fostering a cooperative and harmonious work environment
- Strong MS Excel skills
