As the supervisor of the hygiene team, and the deputy to the technical manager, you will have 8 direct hygiene technician reports and will be responsible for managing and developing site hygiene systems and processes in line with the manufacturing performance system (MPS) goals and objectives to maintain our food safety standards across both key packaging areas, currently consisting of 15 lines with plans to further expand this.

This role would be well suited to someone who has experience leading hygiene and/or quality teams within a food or pharma production environment.

YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY

  • Maintaining the hygiene management systems in line with Group standards and relevant retailer requirements
  • Leading and developing the hygiene technicians through training, motivation, and by setting clear direction
  • Conducting verification activities including environmental swabbing, hygiene audits, and internal audits
  • Leading investigations of out of specification hygiene results and site concessions
  • Identifying continuous improvement (CI) opportunities
  • Managing the pest control contracts and follow up with any necessary actions
  • Deputising for the technical manager and covering for the quality assurance supervisors when required


YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE

  • Experienced in a hygiene supervisory role in a food production manufacturing or similar environment (will also consider experience in a QA role)
  • A strong relationship builder and stakeholder manager
  • Level 3 food hygiene certified (and willing to complete level 4 within post)
  • Level 3 HACCP certified (and willing to complete level 4 within post)
  • Experienced with high-care facilities (advantageous)
  • A good problem-solver
  • Knowledgeable of BRC standards, and can display GMP knowledge
