People Solutions is seeking a Class 1 Driver for a well-established client in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, with a pay rate of £16.00 per hour.
The position offers Monday to Friday shifts with start times between 05:00 and 10:00, providing ongoing work and weekly pay.
Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles and hold a valid UK Category CE Licence, CPC Card, and Digi Card.
Key responsibilities include trunking depot-to-depot, performing vehicle inspections, and ensuring cargo is secured properly.
The role requires effective communication skills, punctuality, and a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations.

Rates of Pay:

Basic: £16.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

Trunking depot-depot (1-3) no handball (working on curtain-side)
Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
