We are looking for a full-time Lead Regeneration Officer to join our Regeneration and Economic Development team at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
Working within our Regeneration and Economic Development team, you will oversee the management and delivery of high-profile, complex programmes designed to promote sustainable economic growth, enhance community engagement, and revitalise the Borough.

Key Responsibilities:
- To work in partnership to identify and develop potential projects that will deliver economic growth in Nuneaton as part of the Regeneration and Economic Development Programme.
- To maintain an overview of the projects, identifying issues and prompting partners and contractors to act where necessary to ensure the commitments to the Funders bid are met.
- To provide efficient and effective project management which gives reliability of delivery of projects; value for money; and is responsive to the programme’s needs
- To gather project budgets information in line with NBBC standards and procedures.
- Establish and support the work of the project working groups and relevant boards and arrange meetings.
- To ensure that partner organisations understand the requirements of the project, the reporting required and ensure they have adequate collecting methods to produce information required.
- To lead on the development/delivery of a revised, clear and effective communication and engagement strategy for the programme to ensure that key stakeholders and the wider community are actively involved in the programme and support its aspirations and delivery.
- To identify and apply for opportunities for external funding to support new programmes and to support or work jointly with partners to develop applications and secure resources.
- To lead on the preparation of grant funding, monitoring reports and supporting evidence.
The Person
- Extensive experience of managing large and complex projects.
- Experience of managing resources and budgets
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g., Economic Development, Town Planning, Regeneration) or substantial experience (at least 3 years) working in a similar role involving complex programme and project management and significant partnership working.
- Experience in writing complex reports, strategies and briefings for members and senior officers.
- Experience of working with a commercial mindset in the public sector, to identify opportunities that are in step with broader aims.
- Excellent project management skills.
