Reed Further Education are working with a college in Nuneaton that are searching for an A Level History Lecturer to join their team from the new term in January on a temporary ongoing basis. There is potential to move from temporary to permanent for the right candidate. The position involves teaching history to A Level students across a structured weekly schedule. They have 15 hours a week available with the following timetable:

Monday: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Tuesday: 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Thursday: 11:00 AM - 2:10 PM, Friday: 9:00 AM - 2:10 PM

Job Title: History Lecturer

Position: 15 hours a week

Salary: £28 - £35p/h including holiday pay

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver A-level History to post-16 students.
  • Prepare engaging and informative lessons that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and uphold an environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the educational environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification: PGCE, certificate of education, etc.
  • Level 3 or above qualification in history or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching History at A Level.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Commitment to professional development and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for another one through Reed
