Are you looking for flexible work in secondary education?
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our team and provide support across secondary schools in Nuneaton on an ad-hoc basis. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students are engaged and following the set work, while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the classroom, ensuring students stay on task with the work provided by the absent teacher.
- Support students with any queries or difficulties during lessons.
- Maintain good classroom behaviour and ensure students follow the school's code of conduct.
- Report back on students' progress, behaviour, and any issues to the relevant teacher or department.
- Adapt quickly to different school environments, age groups, and subjects.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students is preferred but not essential.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to work independently.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- A passion for supporting young people in their learning and development.
