Position: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Stonehouse

Salary: £45000 to £50000 per annum

Working hours: days only

We are now seeking to recruit mechanical biased mechanical engineer with 18th edition qualification for a busy manufacturing company based in Stonehouse. The appropriate candidate would service and repair all machinery in area of responsibility, actively seeking and implementing new improvement methods to increase reliability and improve efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out preventive and reactive repair to plant and equipment on site
  • Service and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner.
  • Order appropriate replacement parts as required
  • Ensuring all compliant with the health and safety standards and regulations
  • Carry out fault finding
  • Covering on 2 sites located within 10 min walking distance
  • Maintain high levels of compliance with health and safety standards whilst performing duties

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Familiar with Electricity at Work Regulations and Safety at Work Regulations
  • Strong fault-finding skills
  • Formal qualifications within both mechanical & electrical engineering (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds (18th Edition), BTEC or similar).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage to the successful applicant
