CMA is delighted to be working with a long-standing Southampton based charity organisation who are currently looking to appoint a Payroll Manager for thirty hours per week.  This is a unique opportunity to manage the inhouse payroll function from start to finish and playing a lead role in improving efficiencies and optimising processes.   The role will offer flexible hours to suit and upon completion of training, you will have the option to work a hybrid model.

What will the Payroll Manager role involve?

  • Assist with bring the payroll function in-house
  • Manage end to end payroll process
  • Calculate and process employee payments ensuring tax codes, overtime hours etc actively input
  • Manage the resolution of payroll queries
  • Complete HMRC returns, reconcile PAYE accounts and make payments to HMRC
  • Complete end of year payroll reporting (P60’s, P11D’s, PAYE)
  • Manage the pension auto-enrolment process and ongoing compliance
  • Develop financial payroll reports

Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Manager vacancy:

  • Experience of running and managing an in-house payroll process
  • Current knowledge of HMRC payroll legislation and regulations
  • Proficient in the use of Excel
  • A really strong team ethos with a proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously
