HV Maintenance Manager
Location: Southampton
Salary: Equivalent to a 55k per year but happy to discuss rates
Contract Type: Contingent ongoing
Are you an experienced HV professional with a strong understanding of private network systems and a passion for keeping operations running smoothly? We're seeking a HV Maintenance Manager to lead inspection, maintenance, and compliance activities across a key client portfolio.
The Role:
This is a pivotal position overseeing the safe and efficient maintenance of high voltage (HV) equipment on private networks. You'll be responsible for managing inspections, coordinating a small operational team, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and delivery. The role involves close collaboration with the SAP, Hiring Manager, and internal admin support, combining technical knowledge with leadership and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate inspection and maintenance works with clients
- Generate and review inspection reports before client submission
- Manage a team of 2 HV Jointers and 1 Technical Administrator
- Oversee oil store operations (33,000 litres), including audits and transfers
- Provide quotations and manage reminders for recurring maintenance
- Ensure all HV equipment is tested and operational on a monthly basis
- Handle purchase orders, invoicing, and financial tracking
- Liaise with clients to agree valuations and ensure invoicing is completed
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders including SAPs and the Hiring Manager
- Identify whether works fall within scope or require escalation to the Senior HV Project Manager
What We're Looking For:
- Strong knowledge and experience working with HV equipment (private networks)
- HV maintenance or inspection background (SAP experience beneficial but not essential)
- Proficient in Excel and database systems
- Confident managing teams and coordinating technical works
- Comfortable working across operations and light commercial duties (quotes/invoices)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
