My client is a service centre in Oakham who have a bodyshop. They are now now looking for a new team-member to join their bodyshop and assist with Prepping and Stripping/fitting.

Ideally they need a prepper to assist in with the sanding/filling of panels ready to be painted. The ability to strip/fit panels as well will be a great benefit.

This opportunity would be idea for a bodyshop prepper looking to gain some dealership experience, working with a highly experienced bodyshop technician who will help guide your career.

Bodyshop Prepper Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, filling, and cleaning for painting.
  • Mask and tape off areas to protect parts not being painted.
  • Mix primers, sealers, and paint to the correct specifications.
  • Apply primers, fillers, and undercoats to vehicle surfaces.
  • Sand and smooth primer layers to ensure a flawless base for painting.
  • Inspect prepped surfaces to identify and correct imperfections.
  • Little bit of Strip/Fit/Light panel ideally.
