CAD Technician Job Overview

  • This role offers the chance to work on diverse and exciting projects, collaborating closely with skilled engineers and architects to bring designs to life.
  • Detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects
  • Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation
  • Aid the development of more junior team members
  • Carry out steel and concrete layout drawings
  • Reinforcement detailing and scheduling
  • Attending Design meetings and Client visits
  • Continued development within the Structural Engineering sector
  • Communicate technical concepts to clients, team members, and stakeholder


CAD Technician Job Requirements

  • T- Level /HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering advantageous
  • 2+ years' experience within the construction industry using AutoCAD
  • Experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry beneficial
  • Knowledge of Faade design and Revit would warrant the higher end of the salary
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and a proactive attitude toward learning and growth.
  • Experience with Revit is desirable though not essential
  • Understanding of construction and structural engineering standards, including Eurocodes and British Standard
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to clients, team members, and stakeholder
