First Achieve's Engineering Division are seeking a Vehicle Assembly Fitter for their client who is a leading manufacturer of agricultural equipment and vehicles with a reputation for supplying high quality machines to the UK and Worldwide.

Due to the continued expansion of their business, they have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, dedicated individual to join the assembly and testing team.

Dayshift Role, £13/hr.

Role:

  • You will play a crucial role in the assembly of our self-propelled vehicles, including mechanical assembly of vehicle and chassis components, along with the installation of hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and hydrostatic transmissions is desirable.
  • Using hand, power and air tools with ease and confidence.
  • Testing complete machines ensuring correct functionality and a high level of quality.
  • Adapting to varying machine specifications and customer requirements.

Successful Candidate

  • Previous assembly or mechanical experience is required, although company specific on-the-job training will be provided. Electrical knowledge preferred.
  • Specialist tools are supplied however it is expected the candidate provide their own basic tool kit of spanners and screw drivers etc.
  • Forklift and overhead crane training desirable though the company will provide training if required.
