Our public sector client is currently looking to recruit a Business Support Administrator to join their team, initially for 12 weeks.

Location:Oakham

Pay Rate:11.44ph

Hours:37hrs a week hybrid but some office attendance required per week.

Purpose of the Job:

To provide efficient administrative support to the Highways team, assisting with customer liaison, data management, financial processes, and general office duties in line with objectives and standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Highways team, maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into internal and external systems, including periodic returns for national bodies.
  • Handle customer inquiries via email, phone, social media, and mail, providing assistance or escalating as necessary.
  • Maintain and update departmental complaint and enquiry systems.
  • Manage databases for licenses, permits, and payments.
  • Manage invoices, purchase orders, and ensure proper audit trails via the finance system.
  • Organise office supplies, manage post, and schedule meetings.

In order to apply you must possess the following:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in an administrative role and working within a team.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation.
