Stores, Material Handling, IT Literate, Good Communicator
As a Materials Handler, your main responsibilities will be dispatch-focused. This includes tasks such as packing, arranging shipments, and coordinating with shipments. Strong English skills are required for effective communication. A B1 counterbalance forklift license is preferred, as forklift operation will mainly involve loading and unloading vehicles, approximately 1-2 hours a day. Candidates without previous stores experience will be considered, as long as you are IT literate, willing to learn, and possess good communication skills.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Deploying inventory to shop floor locations, kanbans/regulators, or via kitting operations as required.
- Conducting accurate stock checks and cycle counts.
- Maintaining quality, batch control, and traceability of all parts.
- Issuing stock parts to the workshop and updating the system accordingly.
- Packaging orders for safe delivery to the customer.
- Maintaining and filing Goods Received Notes and records.
- Flexibility with working hours during heavy workload periods.
- Handling receipts for indirect purchases.
- Undertaking other duties as reasonably requested by the company.
- Performing operations according to safety, health, and environmental principles.
- Stocking goods in inventory or specified locations on the line.
- Executing ERP transactions involving movement of inventory and related tasks.
- Executing kitting tasks in response to shop floor demand signals.
- Unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
Qualification and Experience:
- Ideal experience working in warehouses or as a material handler.
- Forklift is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to lift and move material over 15lbs.
- Computer literate.
