Aftermarket Fitter
Strip, Survey and rebuild, PAT of LRUs on air-to-air refuelling pods.
Supports and conforms to Quality procedures to maintain compliance, by insuring adherence to the defined processes. To include Form 1 (Part 145 & 21G). Familiar with repairs to an Aircraft standard including MODs, SBs & up issue to latest standard of U/S LRUs

Task Management

  • Strip, Survey and rebuild, PAT of LRUs to agreed engineering methods and processes
  • Complete surveys and repairs to agreed practices
  • Supports and conforms to Quality procedures to maintain compliance, by ensuring adherence to the defined processes and procedures.


Autonomy

  • Is able to carry out Strip, Survey and rebuild, PAT of LRUs without supervision.
  • Works with team to identify and drive productivity and performance improvement opportunities to support cost reductions.
  • Has an understanding of lean manufacturing processes and works with team
  • Contributes to the continuous development of the safety, health and environment requirements within the team's work area


People Management

  • Actively supports and progresses his / her own development needs to ensure task flexibility via the use of Skills matrix.
  • Has an annual and interim PDR's with Value Stream Manager


Communication

  • Attends start of shift meeting with team to understand the team targets, any key issues / problems and any other communications (e.g. visits, health & safety issues etc) Attend work scheduling meeting at every morning.
  • Escalation of issues to Value Stream Manager in timely manner

  • To attain approved operator stamp with scope approval relevant to job role
  • Understanding lean methodology and principles
  • To complete tasks on-time and to the required standard
  • To minimise job card variances
  • To adhere to SHE requirements of the area. Co-operate with management to meet the employer's legal duties and take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions
