Overview:

We're recruiting an Electrically biased Engineer for a food manufacturer based in Okehampton, Devon. Shift pattern is days (06:00 - 14:00) and afternoons (14:00 - 22:00) Monday - Friday. You can expect to receive a salary of 44,000 for this role. Overtime is available, paid at a rate of time and a half.

The Role:

Provide Engineering support to Production to ensure efficient performance on all equipment whilst ensuring that all H&S procedures, and engineering best practice is adhered to at all times.

Provide Engineering support to Production to ensure efficient performance on all equipment whilst ensuring that all H&S procedures, and engineering best practice is adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate & timely records are entered and recorded on all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares/consumables used.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Attend and resolve breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Promote and complete CI work to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.

The Person:

  • Times served apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Recognised Engineering qualification
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Flexible working attitude
  • Competent electrical / fault finding & analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Methodical & strong attention to detail
