Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 (DOE)

A global leader in optical design is looking for a new Optical Design Engineer to join their rapidly growing R&D team developing products for a multitude of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven ability on optical design and simulation
  • Ability to lens design and lens data documentation
  • Working within multi-discipline team to develop first stage prototypes
  • Experience in Monte Carlo analysis
  • Ability to practical test and measure ensuring accurate data

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be able to obtain SC clearance
  • Bachelor's 2:1 or better degree level in Optics and/or Physic
  • Industrial experience in an optical system design & development function
  • Experience using Zemax design software
  • Positive, flexible approach to working with a 'can do' attitude
