Job Description
A highly skilled and experienced Production Manager is required to lead the site manufacturing team at our Plymouth location.
As a key member of the Operations Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of high quality, safe products, whilst driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with experience in leadership roles and a proven track record of manufacturing strategy and systems.
Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the site production function, managing key performance indicators such as on time in full, right first time and attainment to plan.
- You will be responsible for defining clear objectives and goals for the production team, working closely with the site Quality team, and ensuring adequate support for new product development.
- You will be proficient in managing a team whilst executing a production plan and possess knowledge of capacity planning and resource management.
- Lead the site production team and deliver to manufacturing targets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including cGMP, MDSAP, and MDR.
- Drive the successful execution and implementation of the site strategy to enable growth.
- Definition of clear objectives and goals for the production management team.
- Supporting the quality department and ensure adequate support for new product development.
Your Skills and Attributes
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
- Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of medical device industry or similar regulated environment.
- Knowledge of production equipment and processes (liquid filling, sealing, assembly and packing)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of managing and controlling budgets.
- Previous experience of establishing KPI's and measures within a maintenance function.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment legislation.
- Previous line management responsibility with real time experience of a Lean manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
