Job Title – Mobile Engineer

My client is a leading provider in facilities management, and they are looking for a mobile engineer (electrical) to join the team and complete all building maintenance for a couple of their high-end retail contracts, in and around Devon.

The job purpose is to carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, undertake small installation works and respond to site engineering emergencies.

Key Tasks

  • Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all electrical systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
  • Carry out reactive repairs on all systems as required calling relevant sub-contractors as required.
  • Carry out all PPM maintenance.
  • Reporting of all PPM defects via correct process and liaise with the supervisor of defect requirements.
  • Ensure weekly equipment reports are updated with any change in status of equipment.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors as required for repairs / quotations, monitoring performance of sub-contractor personnel. Ensuring works have been undertaken correctly and work area has been left in a satisfactory condition.
  • Sign off completed PPM and reactive tasks in line with policies and procedures in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the client representative and client’s personnel.
  • Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
  • To accurately maintain the site logs and associated paperwork.
  • To be involved in call out rota if applicable
  • Liaise and work with other trade engineers to ensure electrical issues on all systems are attended to and resolved within SLA agreements

Education

  • Recognized Electrical Qualification (NVQ/C&Gs)
  • C&G 17th Edition in Electrical Installations
  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Good knowledge of various Building electrical systems and working to Planned Preventative Maintenance Regimes
  • Current and relative knowledge of BS in relation to electrical systems on site Emergency light/Fire alarm/ power/BMS etc.
  • Clean driving license
