Trinity House Group are working on an exclusive basis to recruit a high calibre Financial Controller for a successful SME manufacturing business in the Black Country region. Hybrid working, flexible start / finish time and early finish on Fridays are offered.  This is an outstanding opportunity to join this multi-site profitable business to be the #2 to a first class and highly experienced Finance Director with a track record of developing individuals for future progression.  This role will suit either an industry trained candidate ready for a step up OR a Top 10 / Mid-Tier practice trained candidate making either their first or second industry move.  As the Financial Controller, you will gain invaluable experience with the ultimate objective of driving efficiency & profitability.  You will also lead a broad range of activities such as systems and process improvements, including automation to develop a best-in-class Finance function.  We’re looking for an ambitious individual with strong technical & Management Accounting skills, proven abilities in driving business growth and who has a continuous improvement mindset. Financial Controller Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading and developing a high performing team in all aspects of the day-to-day accounting functions.
  • Oversight and responsibility for delivery of Management Accounts / AP / AR / Credit Control
  • Finance Business Partner support to Operational & Manufacturing stakeholders
  • Provide Variance & Margin analysis & commentary
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to support business growth.
  • Ensuring that the Finance team produce accurate MI & KPI reports.
  • Supporting the annual audited accounts are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supporting the production of annual budgets, forecasts and planning process
  • Lead on a range of projects to support growth and profit improvement
 Financial Controller Skills:
  • Professionally Qualified – ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Strong technical Management Accounts experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised, able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately with complex information and present in a clear format.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset.
