Your new companyDue to the partnership between Hays and Sandwell Council, we are seeking an experienced Schools Appeals Clerk on a full-time, temporary basis.

Your new roleAs a School Appeals Clerk, you will support the Governance Services Officer (School Appeals) in the development, implementation and operation of processes within the team in order to ensure the delivery of matters within agreed timescales and legal deadlines and to maximise the use of available resources. To support the Council's decision-making framework and encourage participation in decision-making. To organise, administer and clerk school appeals hearings. This is a busy area, and typically the team receives an average of 400 appeals.This is a full-time, hybrid working position that will be based in Oldbury when working in the office.What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate should have experience within a similar role or also from a Democratic Services background, and be able to demonstrate key skills e.g. time management, ability to work to strict deadlines and work under pressure.
