Pertemps are currently recruiting for a skilled Plant Operator to join a busy production team located in Oldbury.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the loading, mixing, and maintenance of materials used in the production process.

Your responsibilities include starting and monitoring the mechanical screw that delivers urea to a 15-tonne vessel for mixing, ensuring the efficient flow of materials. You will be responsible for regularly changing filter bags to maintain smooth operation and overseeing the process to ensure that temperatures are consistently maintained and monitored. Additionally, you will manage the deioniser unit, handling the replacement of caustic and acid IBCs as needed. A basic mechanical and technical understanding of production processes is essential, along with strong attention to detail, particularly when monitoring equipment and temperatures to ensure optimal performance.

Working Monday to Friday, day shifts are from 6am to 6pm, and night shifts are from 6pm to 6am, following a rotating schedule.

Hourly rate of pay is 12.25 per hour.

Applicants will ideally have previous experience within a Chemical Manufacturing Environment, although extensive training will be provided for the right candidate.

FLT Counterbalance licence is required.
