Customer Service Co-ordinator
Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands
Hours: 8:45am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (36.25 hours per week)
An established and respected chemical manufacturer is looking for a detail-oriented Customer Service Co-ordinator to join its busy and collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in export and shipping who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service to customers around the world.
You’ll play a key role in managing customer orders from start to finish - handling enquiries, processing orders, coordinating shipments, and preparing documentation for both domestic and international transport. Liaising closely with internal departments and freight partners, you’ll ensure OTIF delivery targets are met while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements of Customer Service Co-ordinator:
- Lead and manage maintenance operations, including inspections and planned preventative maintenance systems
- Undertake minor project work, including the design, specification, and installation of electrical equipment within approved budgets.
- Supervise a team of four electrical personnel and oversee work conducted by electrical contractors.
- Serve as a Company Technical Authority on all electrical matters.
- Ensure compliance with ATEX standards, area classification, and BS60079.
- Liaise with internal departments and external contacts, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies such as the HSE and EA.
- Promote and maintain high safety, health, and environmental standards in all electrical operations.
- Oversee the development and training of electrical team members.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum RQF Level 3 (e.g., Full City & Guilds Level 3) in a practical electrical discipline.

At least 5 years of practical post-qualification experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role within an industrial manufacturing environment.

CompEx (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
