Purpose of the role

Reporting to the head of Client solutions development, the overall purpose of the role is to assist in the development and maintenance of analytical systems which are used by the Firm to service our client base. These are primarily on Alteryx and Alteryx Server but also other platforms and so a variety of programming experience would be a benefit.

Working with teams across the firm to deliver a solution will require understanding of the specifications and the needs of the users. Sometimes working to tight deadlines.This may also involve liaising with other areas of the business to ensure a complete solution.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with the Technical department regarding development and changes to firm wide analytical applications.
  • Liaising with other members of the firm with regards to any bespoke requirements for analytical applications.
  • Developing and maintaining analytics applications in line with specifications.
  • Maintaining change logs.
  • Investigating and evaluating new tools.
  • Development of user guidance and training schemes.
  • Involvement in training teams in analytical tools.
  • Associated admin tasks.

Technical skills, experience & knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of Python and other development languages.
  • Understanding of AI and prompt writing.
  • Problem solving and solution driven.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High level of I.T. literacy.
  • Ability to work to deadlines when required.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel formula and macros.
