Carbon60 are looking for a number of Mechanical Site Fitters to join a client of ours covering the West Bromwich area. This is a permanent role.

This Mechanical Site Fitter position will include working on Southern Water Framework on client sites in and around the West Bromwich Area.

Along with a competitive salary, this position offers door to door payments, Overtime rates, a company van, and a fuel card (for work use only).

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Building, installing, refurbishing and maintaining specialised equipment.
  • Working to specifications outlined in engineering drawings, British Standards and Client Specifications
  • Consider and offer solutions to mechanical engineering problems to enable improvements to quality, safety and speed of manufacture and assembly.
  • Working in confined space and at heights
  • Working in close contact with Raw and Treated Sewage in accordance with Heath & Safety regulations.

Person Specification:

  • Achieved or working towards achieving City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering,
  • Some experience of installing, repairing or maintaining technical, or capital equipment within the Waste Water industry is desired
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Own basic hand tools
