Digital and Creative Content Officer

HAYS are delighted to be working exclusively with Sandwell Council to recruit a Digital and Creative Content Officer on an interim basis. My client is seeking a dynamic and creative digital content creator to join their team to focus specifically on a project focused on communicating significant changes to the local waste collection services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in communicating these changes and driving behavioural change amongst residents to reduce waste and increase recycling.

This role is paying £18.38 per hour, and the successful candidate would be office based 3 days per week in Oldbury.

The key responsibilities of this role will be:

• Content Creation: Develop engaging content for social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram) and manage social media accounts.
• Video Production: Create compelling videos featuring community leaders and citizens to promote waste reduction and recycling.
• Community Engagement: Speak with community leaders, schools, faith groups, and residents to gather insights and feature them in content.
• Graphic Design: Utilise tools like Canva to design visually appealing graphics.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage constructively with stakeholders who have already been involved in focus groups and surveys.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a broader team, following an established strategy and contributing to the overall success of the project.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

• Have experience in marketing, with a focus on behaviour-changing communication.
• Be proficient in content creation, social media management, video production, and graphic design.
• Be available to work in the Oldbury area or nearby.
• Have the ability to engage and encourage community members and stakeholders effectively.
