The suitable candidate will have good fitting skills with the ability to weld and fabricate, along with hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience.

Person specification
- Time served Mechanical Engineer with a number of years’ experience in manufacturing
- Minimum City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 in mechanical engineering
- Good fitting skills with the ability to weld and fabricate, along with hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience
- Experience of planned maintenance and continuous improvement/lean manufacturing
- Well organised, self-motivated and capable of working to tight deadlines
- Good attention to detail
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Good timekeeping and attendance
- Must be eligible and able to prove you can work in the UK, as the Company does not hold a sponsorship licence.
Your responsibilities
- Performing reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical machinery across the site.
- Supporting the day-to-day manufacturing process in the most efficient manner, whilst working within a team structure.
- Effective recording and monitoring of all engineering/production-based issues
- Troubleshooting problems and suggesting improvements to prevent reoccurrence.
- Communicating with Production Managers / Team Leaders on progress of issues
- Completing scheduled maintenance.
- Investigating faults with plant and equipment, completing any necessary repairs, and reporting status within the maintenance recording system.
