RM Recruit is pleased to be partnering with a highly regarded third-sector organisation based in Oldbury to recruit a Payroll Administrator on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised pofessional to join a dedicated team. The role is fully on-site, Monday to Friday, offering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations and company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional looking to gain experience in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly payroll processing.
- Ensure that all employees are paid on time in an accurate and timely manner via our payroll bureau.
- Carry out data processing on the iTrent payroll system accurately and efficiently; provide support and assistance to staff on payroll-related queries and issues.
- Update absence status on iTrent.
- Handle all month-end and year-end payroll matters such as P60s and assist the finance team with any payroll-related issues and associated audits.
- Liaise with HR to ensure the HR database and personnel records are maintained and kept up to date with alterations/changes.
- Post relevant payroll and pension monthly journals.
- Process weekly timesheets into the payroll system.
- Liaise with managers to collate payroll information.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in payroll processing or administration.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., iTrent, Sage, ADP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
