Job Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Highways & Civils
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
Our client is a busy civil engineering contractor working on highways and civils projects across the Midlands, and are actively looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead on all commercial aspects of highways and civils projects.
·Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
·Conduct financial forecasting and reporting.
·Manage subcontractor accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
·Negotiate contracts and resolve any disputes efficiently.
·Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and profitability.
·Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the commercial team.
What We're Looking For
·Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on highways and civils projects.
·Strong commercial acumen and an eye for detail.
·Knowledge of NEC contracts is highly desirable.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
·Comfortable working from the office 5 days a week.
·Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
