Bodyshop Receptionist | Accident Repair Industry | Oldbury, Birmingham | Full-Time | £26,000 - £28,000

Are you looking to join a dynamic and customer-focused team within the accident repair industry? We are recruiting for a Bodyshop Receptionist on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing company in Oldbury. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, coupled with experience in a busy automotive environment.

About the Role: As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in providing a seamless customer journey. You'll be managing customer interactions, explaining the repair process, and ensuring smooth coordination between the bodyshop team and clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in person and over the phone, ensuring they understand the repair process and feel confident in the services provided.
  • Coordinate vehicle bookings and returns, managing the workflow to ensure efficient bodyshop operations.
  • Handle customer queries and liaise with the workshop to ensure accurate communication.
  • Organise replacement vehicles when required.
  • Manage administrative tasks including invoicing for parts, excess payments, and sales.
  • Keep customers updated on the progress of their repairs.
  • Arrange vehicle recoveries as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing role within the accident repair industry or a similar environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and bodyshop management systems.
  • A solid understanding of the accident repair process and motor vehicles.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy bodyshop.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of BSI standards and administration would be advantageous.
