Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for new opportunities in Birmingham?

Winner Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a special school based in the Sandwell area. This role will start immediately on a long-term placement and will be full time. The successful applicant will have previous SEN experience, in particular with challenge behaviours and communication difficulties, and hold a minimum Level 3 qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with severe SEN requirements
  • Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation
  • Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
  • Assist with pupil progress reports
  • Liaise with outside agencies when required
  • Support the class teacher with pupil assessments

The successful SEN teaching assistant will have:

  • A minimum of Level 3 qualification
  • Previous SEN experience
  • Previous experience working with KS3/4 SEN children
  • Strong resilience and patience
  • Previous experience working with children with ASC and challenging behaviours
  • Used various communication methods
