SEND Teacher - Oldbury

Academics are looking for an experienced Teacher who can cover at a special school based in Oldbury on a part time basis; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. This school is a Maintained Special School for children with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and medical needs. The role would be starting immediately after Christmas in January 2025 until the end of the academic year.

This is a job share and planning will be shared whilst having alternated PPA time.

You will have 3 Teaching Assistants in classroom to support you and the class sizes are made up of 8/9 children.

The successful Teacher will:

  • Hold QTS status and eligibility to work in the UK
  • Have EYFS/KS1 curriculum knowledge tailored to SEN children
  • Be able to adapt planning to individual needs
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be flexible around the school working routine
  • Utilise resources effectively
  • Be of patient and calm nature

Academics requires all Teachers to have a fully enhanced DBS check, minimum of two references plus a face to face interview.
