Management Accountant - Part Qualified or Qualified CIMA/ACCA

Oldham – based on site 5 days a week

£50-55k plus benefits

Exciting opportunity to join a growing PE backed manufacturing business who provide quality products to the UK and US markets. They have seen significant growth in recent years with further expansion in 2025

The successful candidate will report to the Group Finance Director and will have the responsibility for the day-to-day management accounting responsibilities and producing management accounts for the UK business and supporting the US business.

This role would suit a Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA professional with experience and expertise in the day-to-day transactional duties together with experience of producing Management Accounts for a UK manufacturing or similar business and supporting senior leadership with detailed analysis and costings.

Qualifications:

  • Must be Part Qualified/Qualified CIMA/ACCA with relevant UK experience in a manufacturing/logistics business 
  • Proven UK experience
  • Full right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available for this role

Responsibilities:

  • Producing management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Reporting to the Group Finance Director
  • Preparing and delivering month-end accounts, P&L, Cashflow, and Balance Sheet
  • Developing and delivering functional leadership team requirements and business KPIs
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Preparation of the group sales report
  • Preparation of Accruals and Prepayments of Subsidiaries
  • Preparation of the VAT return for review
  • Population of monthly Management Information Packs in Excel
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation and resolution
  • Posting of Employment cost journals
  • Daily, weekly, and period Banking
  • Payroll supervision
  • Ownership of Standard cost model and use to derive monthly cost of sales
  • Annual stocktake management and coordination with the UK operations team
  • Providing support in a variety of financial projects
  • Assisting the Group Finance Director and FP&A with audit queries during year-end processes
  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts audit packs
  • Ensuring all recharges to other group companies are made and managing daily bank transactions
  • Managing all transactions for each business, including a small volume of invoicing
  • Updating debtors list to ensure effective cash collection
  • Monthly consolidations and balance sheet reconciliations

Skills and Attributes:

  • CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified/Qualified with experience ideally in a UK manufacturing/logistics business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial software experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
