Operations Coordinator

Location: Oldham
Salary: Up to 26k
Permanent/Fulltime role

Metalis is working with a leading manufacturing and design company that specialises in creating high-quality products. We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

As an Operations Coordinator, you will be integral to the smooth running of their manufacturing and design processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling incoming telephone calls, emails, and welcoming visitors to the site.
  • Maintaining and updating the production schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Verifying that all design drawings for new Sales Orders are correctly filed and that the revision versions are aligned with the sales orders.
  • Sourcing and negotiating competitive prices for raw materials, components, and fixings needed for production.
  • Progressing and following up on purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Creating, placing, and tracking purchase orders for raw materials and components.
  • Preparing and submitting month-end operational reports.

The Requirements:

  • Any previous experience in administration, coordination
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, (and other operational software tools beneficial).
  • Good understanding of production processes, material sourcing, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Salary: Between 24k and 26k per annum, depending on experience
