Location: Oldham


Shifts: 7am-4pm Mon-Thurs 7am-12pm Every Friday

Salary: 52K

Are you an experienced Project and Maintenance Manager looking to take on a challenging role with significant impact? My client is seeking a skilled leader to ensure the efficiency, safety, and reliability of their high-performing production facilities. In this pivotal position, you will oversee both project management initiatives and maintenance operations, ensuring my clients facilities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire a dedicated team of 10 maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) and DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) standards. Implement and enforce robust safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Hazardous Area Equipment Inspections: Apply expertise in Hazardous Area Electrical Equipment Inspections, ensuring all relevant safety measures and industry standards are strictly followed.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for both CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) projects and routine maintenance activities, implementing cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Efficiency & Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings within maintenance operations, ensuring a lean, effective approach to resource management.

Key Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in managing maintenance operations within a safety-critical environment, ideally with familiarity in Hazardous Area Electrical Equipment Inspections.
  • Project Management: Demonstrable experience in project management, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and manage CAPEX budgets effectively.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of COMAH & DSEAR regulations and a proactive approach to regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a skilled team toward achieving operational goals.
