Internal Account Manager

Oldham

£25,000 - £30,000 plus bonus

My client, a well-established Oldham based organisation are one of the UK's leading purchasers and re-sellers of excess, obsolete, liquidated and clearance stocks.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Account Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of customers in the clearance stock market across the UK and Europe. While experience in this sector is a plus, they are open to training passionate candidates who are eager to learn. In this role, you will adapt to selling across more than 15 product categories with a focus around toys, stationery & craft. Engage with a wide variety of customers and contribute to our growing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customers in the UK and Europe, focusing on clearance stock sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and business objectives.
  • Adapt quickly to different product categories and client demands to provide tailored solutions.
  • Engage in selling at trade shows, on the road, in the showroom and via email and phone to drive sales.
  • Bring customers into our Manchester-based showroom to showcase our products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to assess satisfaction and gather feedback.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity to provide informed recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in account management or sales, preferably in the clearance stock market, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients across diverse cultures.
  • A proactive attitude and a hunger to learn and succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to be in the office with the team daily when not on the road.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
