Your Role:

As a CNC Machinist (Milling), you will:

  • Manufacture components according to production schedules and technical drawings.
  • Ensure production priorities and deadlines are achieved to meet customer requirements.
  • Solve problems as they arise and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Provide training, demonstrations, and supervision to trainees if required.
  • Support machine builds and ensure health & safety compliance at all times.

What You Need:

Qualifications:

  • GCSE or NVQ Level 3 (Skilled Status, time-served)
  • Willingness to study further (NVQ Level 4 or higher)

Skills & Experience:

  • Manual milling and CNC machining (e.g., horizontal borers, machining centres)
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot CNC programs (Fanuc & Heidenhain control systems)
  • Competent in reading engineering drawings and working to precise specifications
  • Strong attendance, timekeeping, and attention to detail

Personal Attributes:

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize daily tasks
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Flexible, able to work under pressure, and adaptable to business needs
  • Strong housekeeping and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
