Works Foreman Required!

On behalf of our client, seeking an experienced and motivated Works Foreman to join their team. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for workshop management, staff supervision, repairs and installations, maintenance scheduling, and promoting health and safety. This position ensures operational efficiency and a safe, productive work environment.
This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm based in Oldham.
Package:
- Salary £38,000 to £40,000 (DOE)
- On Call Allowance: £1,320
- Up to 10% bonus
- Overtime available

Works Foreman - Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on pump repairs in-house and on-site, from strip-downs to final testing.
- Assemble pump sets and perform site surveys to diagnose issues and promote services.
- Provide accurate costing details for quotes and assist in repair or replacement decisions.
- Supervise shopfloor operations, manage workloads, and oversee service engineers' training and performance.
- Ensure health and safety, cleanliness, and order in the works area.
- Coordinate with sales, works, and stores to complete jobs on time.
- Schedule maintenance and calibration of equipment, building, machinery, and vehicles.
- Mentor and train engineers and apprentices.
- Promote smooth and efficient shop floor operations.

Works Foreman - Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role, within a manufacturing, engineering, or workshop environment
- General knowledge of plant/workshop maintenance
- Strong technical knowledge of pumps, welding, machining, or related equipment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
