Paying up to £12.00 p/hrBased in Oldham, North Manchester, our client is a successful engineering business seeking an experienced Data Entry Assistant to cover a period of sickness. This is a temporary, ongoing office-based opportunity working Monday to Friday, either 9.00 am to 5.30 pm or 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

THE JOB

As Temporary Data Entry Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all new data processing tasks. You will work closely with the internal teams to facilitate seamless data management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data in Microsoft Excel and Dynamics systems.
  • Verifying and cross-checking data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information with care.
  • Liaising with team members to ensure data is processed in line with project timelines.
  • Supporting administrative tasks, such as organising digital records and tracking data progress.
  • Identifying and correcting discrepancies or inconsistencies in data entry.

THE PERSON

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong MS Office IT skills, particularly with Excel
  • Previous experience using Dynamics or similar data management systems is preferred.
  • A methodical and process-driven approach to work.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • A confident, professional, and approachable demeanor.
  • The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
